Have you ever wanted to learn more about the Ab X movement, or how to paint an abstract painting? Often, creatives and art appreciators are drawn to modern art that is non-representational but wonder how that form of expression comes about. Come join Denver artist Kristina Davies for an immersive art experience where you will explore painting with movement, music, gesture, and mark making.
In this class, Kristina will begin with several warm-up activities to loosen up the creative energy, and then each participant will work on an individual canvas to explore the intuitive painting process. Materials include water-soluble acrylic paint, pastels, markers, and graphite. This class is for ALL levels, from “I’ve not painted since elementary school” to practicing artist. This is not about a product, but the process; it is about tapping into your creative spirit without judgment or fear. Please wear comfortable clothing that you won’t mind getting a little paint on.
You won’t learn how to paint a portrait or a landscape, but you will learn how to paint with your soul!
