This month’s speaker is Imogene Manuelito. She is the owner of UrBiz Strategies, LLC where she is responsible for guiding and leading business operations. With a keen sense of urgency and passion, Imogene provides B2B professional services to small businesses, minority-owned businesses, and entrepreneurship.
Ms. Manuelito has served as an independent consultant, compliance officer, and administrative officer with various public sector and non-profit organizations since 1996. Throughout her career, she has focused on building relationships that support and foster diversity, equity & inclusion with all the facilitation, team meetings, training, conferences, and events she planned and organized.
After 20 years of service with the National Renewable Energy Laboratory (NREL), Imogene retired in July 2023 as a senior contract administrator. In addition, she was recognized in the U.S. Department of Energy’s publication “Clean Energy Innovators: NREL People Working to Change the World” (E. Tucker, pg. 120, June 2022). Prior to joining NREL, she worked with the U.S. Department of the Interior as a Tribal Government Operations Officer.
Imogene is a member of the Diné (Navajo) tribe and currently serves on the Rocky Mountain Indian Chamber of Commerce board. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in public administration from Grand Canyon University. In addition, she enjoys long road trips and learning about Native American culture.
