Joseph Graves Jr., a renaissance man, an artist known for his vibrant and multifaceted expressions, was born in a small town in Kansas. Raised as a cowboy, his early experiences included breaking horses with his late grandfather, riding in parades, and immersing himself in rural life. In 1985, his family moved to Colorado, where he navigated diverse communities and embraced various cultures.
Today, Joseph is an urban soul-funk artist, embodying a fusion of influences from his eclectic background. He paints in mediums of oil and acrylic on canvas. His art mirrors his life—a beautifully chaotic and vibrant tapestry of experiences, emotions, and colors. Joseph’s artistic approach involves getting messy, defying lines, and creating art that is an extension of his colorful and dynamic self.
Beyond his identity as an artist, Joseph Graves Jr. is an experienced actor with a diverse portfolio of roles on stage and Off-Broadway. His impact extends beyond the art world, with a role in an HBO film and Amazon Prime. Joseph is also an alumnus of the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, showcasing his commitment to education and a well-rounded lifestyle. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Colorado.
