From Teressa & Team:
A huge part of what we think makes our hats so special are the trims they’re adorned with. Often sourced at antique markets while traveling like Les Marchés aux Puces in Paris to independent makers markets in Sardinia, Ibiza, Tokyo, and Bali – we’re always looking for vintage grosgrain, antique fabrics, suedes, leathers, charms and jewelry.Designing a custom hat with us is really when you can use your imagination- from bringing in heirloom charms to hand embroidering meaningful dates and phrases- it’s your opportunity to create something magical. In addition to custom designs, we have our bespoke, ready-to-wear collection both online and in-store. The interior of each hat is lined with a one-of-a-kind vintage silk, making every design truly a work of art.

Sustainability is at the core of our brand – from the materials we source, to creating a product that is made to last forever, supporting local artisans, and lifting up other female founders.

About the Milliner:
An avid hat lover her entire life, Teressa took a hat-making course for fun while she was in Europe in the summer of 2016, and it led her to switch careers entirely. After strangers started asking to purchase hats right off her head, she knew she had something special. She designed her first collection in New York City in 2017 while simultaneously setting up shop in Sunset Park, opening the first Teressa Foglia creative studio in December 2017. Now, we are creating Big Hat Magic in our three experiential retail locations across California and Texas.
