This summer, Curiel invites guests to experience the vibrant energy of cantina culture at Tequilería Alteño, capturing the spirit of Mexico’s neighborhood bars that embody one of country’s most enduring gathering traditions. Tequilería Alteño opens on July 8, 2026 inside of Mar Bella Wine Bar’s dining room and on its patio. Curiel’s travels through cantinas across Mexico and several Fonda Fina Hospitality team trips shaped the vision behind Tequilería Alteño's menu: shareable small plates that celebrate the depth, versatility, and heritage of masa. All of pop-up’s masa is sourced through Curiel's partnership with the Masa Seed Foundation, a pioneering ancestral Mexican corn harvest project southeast of Boulder, Colorado, and house-nixtamalized.
