The Brick: Named to honor the beginnings of the Pride movement at Stonewall & designed to show that change is beautiful.
Pride is, at its core a celebration of life, and also a time of year where people reclaim their narrative from a society that doesn’t want them. Marsha P. Johnson was one of the giants that participated and helped start the modern Pride movement, in queer history people often reference this by saying Marsha P. Johnson threw the first brick at Stonewall. Bars also being core to queer culture, they provided a safe haven for queer people to gather in a time where it was illegal to wear the opposite sex clothing, you could be arrested. So having a drink is a beautiful nod.
