Join fellow member and chef-author Amy Kimoto-Kahn as she teaches how to make mochi from scratch! Mochi is a sweet and chewy Japanese confection made of glutinous rice flour that can be prepared with different fillings such as red bean, ice cream, or fruit. Amy will go through the process of how to create the glutinous rice flour needed for mochi. Then, members will be able to mold their own mochi patties and make their own sweet soy & sugar dipping sauce to taste. Participants will also be able to take some mochi home later.
