The Block Party: A Market For Us, By Us
An All-Around Celebration of Blackness at The Clayton Members Club & Hotel
Joce Blake & The Clayton Members Club & Hotel presents, The Block Party: A Market For Us, By Us, that will take place on Saturday, February 12th at The Clayton Members Club & Hotel located at 233 Clayton St, Denver, CO 80206. The Block Party is a marketplace highlighting Black-owned businesses in the Mile High City and will feature sounds by musician, James Coplin.
Ten business owners are expected to participate in The Block Party. The Block Party is a celebration of Blackness in various ways. In a city that doesn’t always uplift Black business owners, The Clayton’s continued inclusive space makes it perfect for this event. With Joce Blake as the host, The Block Party will display the beauty of Black culture.
“As we continue to amplify diverse voices as a movement and not a trend, this event allows these Black businesses and business owners to truly take up space,” Joce Blake says. Some businesses include Adult Ent, Black & Blossomed, CR Lee, GGs Cosmetics, Lawrence & Larimer, S.Monet Art & more. At the market, folks will have the opportunity to snag all types of goodies from flowers to streetwear to cosmetics.
